These new products feature Intel Atom E3940 quad-core CPUs to achieve fanless and spindleless VESA-mount computers with touchscreen displays for industrial applications.Alongside the increasing use of smartphones and tablets, use of the same projected capacitive touch panel technology has seen an increase in the industrial and office equipment fields as well. However, in workplaces such as food production and processing where operators need to wear rubber gloves, the friction of the rubber makes fingers sticking to screens a major issue. Embedded-type CPU has been adopted. The use of readily available parts ensures the product to be applied easily. In addition, the use of CONTEC-customized BIOS allows support to be provided at the BIOS level and Contec’s unique functions :”Power Failure Protection”, “CONTEC Fast Boot”, “Secure Boot USB Key”, “Disk Copy”, “Self-diagnosis” are available.

• Capacitive (PCAP) Touch panel with fingerprint-resistant, oil-repelling coating
  • This is a model with a capacitive (PCAP) touch panel coated with a fingerprint-resistant, oil-repelling coating that has good finger slip resistance. A beautiful screen display and a smooth operation feeling are realized, and visibility and cleanliness are maintained.
• The compact design features flexibility in installation
  • With minimum interfaces such as USB3.2 Gen1 (USB3.0) x 3, LAN x 2, Audio x 1, and DisplayPort x 1 the compact size PC, (259(W)×23(D)×169(H), features flexibility in installation.
• Both DC input connectors, a jack type and a terminal block type are quipped with the unit for optimized use
  • In addition to the DC jack for connecting the optional AC adapter (PWA-60AWD2), terminal block to connect directly with DC power from equipment or machine is also equipped.
• VESA standard support
  • Conforming to the VESA standard (75×75), the product can be set on the various types of arms or stands.
• “Power failure protection system” features power-off without OS shutdown
  • Equipped with the “Power failure protection system” function that protects data and prohibits writing to storage in the event of power failure. Along with the lockdown (disk writing suppression) function of Windows IoT Enterprise, power can be safely turned off without a shutdown process. Moreover, file system damage or data damage caused by sudden power failure can be avoided.
• Wireless connections to various devices via wireless LAN and Bluetooth
  • The wireless model is equipped with both wireless LAN and Bluetooth. The ability to connect to various peripheral devices wirelessly makes the product ideal for use as an IoT gateway and for edge computing.
